Alexander Shuvalov, head of the Meteo forecasting center, told which day this week will be the coldest in Moscow and the region.

In an interview with Radio 1 on Monday, April 6, he noted that the beginning of the second decade of April in the capital would bring a cold snap and disappoint fans of warm weather. As the forecaster explained, this is a kind of "reckoning" for an abnormally warm March: April will return to a colder scenario for a while, but not for long.

According to him, the cold snap has already arrived in the region: cloudy weather, rains and low temperatures are expected at the beginning of the week, and it will get even colder by the middle of the week. The coolest day will be Thursday, April 9, with daytime temperatures expected to be no higher than +2...+4 degrees, and sleet at night. By Friday, the probability of precipitation will decrease, and pressure will begin to rise.

The expert noted that, despite the possible snow, it will not stay for long because of the warm soil - for a maximum of several hours. According to him, this will only temporarily refresh the spring picture, and by the weekend the real spring will return to the capital with temperatures up to +12 degrees.

On the same day, Roshydromet warned of frosts of up to -5 degrees on Wednesday, April 8. In the afternoon, -1 to +5 degrees is expected on this day. It will start to get a little warmer on Saturday and Sunday, the Moscow City News Agency reports.

On April 6, forecaster Ilyin said that on Tuesday, April 7, relatively mild weather would remain in the region, but with overnight precipitation. Light rain is expected in the afternoon, in Moscow — +9...+11 degrees, in the region — +6...+11 degrees, writes RT. By the weekend, the situation will change: the air will start to warm up, and the likelihood of precipitation will decrease. The weather will become more comfortable for walking, clarifies Life.ru .

In conversation with 360.ru Ilyin noted that from Wednesday to Friday, when the air temperature will take a negative value, snow may fall at night, and sleet and rain in the morning.

Also on Monday, Tatyana Pozdnyakova, chief specialist of the Meteonosti news agency, said that next week would be difficult for Muscovites in terms of weather, but by Easter the precipitation would stop and the cold snap would recede. The temperature will rise to +10 degrees and reach the climatic norm, the website writes. kp.ru .

On April 5, Evgeny Tishkovets, a leading specialist at the Phobos weather center, warned Muscovites about snow in the second half of the week. According to forecasters, precipitation in the form of rain will accompany Muscovites throughout the seven-day period, but by the middle of the week the weather pattern will change dramatically.

On April 1, Mikhail Lokoshchenko, a leading researcher at Moscow State University, said that March in Moscow turned out to be the warmest in 247 years of observations due to the peculiarities of climatic conditions and general climate warming. During the month, a record high average daily temperature was recorded, as well as four temperature maxima — on March 12, 13, 15 and 31. In addition, March has become one of the sunniest since 1958, according to NSN.
