The Orenburg region court sentenced to 12 years and 6 months in prison an Orenburg man who killed a man with a stick and dismembered his corpse. This is reported in the case materials reviewed by Izvestia.

The defendant will go to serve his sentence in a special regime colony.

The incident occurred in May 2025. A previously convicted Orenburg resident, while intoxicated, quarreled with a man and hit him on the head with a stick — as a result of the incident, he died. Hoping to hide the crime, the attacker dismembered the corpse — he burned part of the body in a furnace, and hid the rest in the courtyard of the house.

Shortly before the murder, the Orenburg resident had twice made death threats, twice caused minor harm to health, and also evaded administrative supervision. The punishment was imposed based on the totality of the crimes.

A correspondent for Izvestia reported on March 31 that the Moscow Regional Court had sentenced criminal boss Konstantin Piskarev, nicknamed Kostya Bolshoy, to life imprisonment. The state prosecution requested a similar punishment for Piskarev. Also, the leader of the organized criminal group was fined, the amount of which reached 1 million rubles.
