- More than 200 thousand tons of fruits and berries will be harvested in Crimea in 2026
In Crimea, in 2026, farmers plan to harvest 200 thousand tons of fruits and berries, as well as lay 400 hectares of young gardens. This was stated by the head of the republic Sergey Aksenov.
He noted that every year the Crimean authorities allocate funds to support horticulture, and this year it is planned to allocate more than 361 million rubles for these purposes.
About 324 million rubles of this amount will be spent on planting gardens and more than 37 million rubles on the care of perennial gardens.
In 2025, there were almost 17 thousand hectares of fruit plantations in Crimea. About 12 thousand hectares are fruit—bearing orchards with stone and pome crops.
Last year, bad weather had a negative impact on berry and fruit picking. Only 105 thousand tons were collected. New gardens and state support should help restore production, writes IA SevastopolMedia.
At the end of March, it was reported that dangerous fungal infections began to develop intensively in the fields of Crimea due to sudden changes in temperature and high humidity. The active spread of diseases was revealed during large-scale monitoring of the state of winter grain crops. We are talking about root rot, septoria, powdery mildew and focal helminthosporiasis spotting. Root rot caused by Fusarium fungi is especially dangerous.
