Roskomnadzor has not received any decisions to block Minecraft
Roskomnadzor has not received any decisions from the authorized bodies on the need to block the Minecraft game after reports of fraudulent activities on the platform appeared. This was announced on April 6 by the press service of the department.
According to Roskomnadzor, access to the resource can be restricted due to the dissemination of fraudulent or unreliable information only on the basis of a court decision or the request of the Prosecutor General of Russia and his deputies.
"There have been no court decisions or demands from the Prosecutor General's Office regarding the resource mentioned in the request," Roskomnadzor told TASS.
On April 2, the Moscow Department of Education warned that scammers find schoolchildren in Minecraft game chats, after which they transfer them to the Telegram messenger and introduce themselves as "cybersecurity officers." They accuse the children of passing information to foreign intelligence agencies, threaten to detain them, and force them to steal money from the family and transfer it to third parties.
All important news is on the Izvestia channel in the MAX messenger.
