The European Union's rejection of Russian energy supplies and other ideological decisions portend extremely difficult times for Europe. This was announced on April 6 by Kirill Dmitriev, head of the Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF), Special representative of the President of the Russian Federation for investment and economic cooperation with foreign countries.

"The EU's break with Russian energy resources and other short—sighted ideological decisions portend extremely difficult times for Europe," Dmitriev wrote on the social network X (ex. Twitter).

As noted by "Gazeta.Ru", Dmitriev also suggested that the prices of futures and physical oil will be equal. Recently, the price of physical oil jumped sharply, breaking the threshold of $ 140 per barrel.

Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban said on April 2 that the immediate lifting of sanctions against the Russian energy sector remains the only way to save the EU from the energy crisis.

Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Szijjarto said on the same day that ideology should not be used to heat houses — gas is needed for this. According to him, the energy policy of the European Union has become hostage to ideological decisions, while energy supply issues should not be based on them.
