The expert spoke about the rules of using the maternity capital to buy a cottage.

The funds of the parent capital are allowed to be used to purchase cottages, but only in part of an apartment building, not land. This was announced on April 6 by Sergey Zaikov, Associate Professor of Economics and Finance at the Altai Branch of the Presidential Academy.

"Maternity capital can be used to buy a summer cottage, but only if a number of conditions are met. The key point is that we are not talking about acquiring a land plot, but a residential building," Zaikov told RIA Novosti.
