Traffic is closed on the section of the federal highway "Kavkaz" in the Derbent district of Dagestan due to the collapse of the bridge. This was reported on April 5 in the press service of the State Traffic Inspectorate of the region.

"On 917 km of the Caucasus Federal District in the Derbent district, near the settlement of Mamedkala, traffic is closed in both directions," the department's Telegram channel says.

It clarifies that the traffic restrictions are related to the rising water level and the collapse of the bridge.

The emergency mode remains in Makhachkala, Buinaksk, Kaspiysk, and several other cities and districts of Dagestan.

On the same day, Izvestia correspondent Murad Magomedov reported that heavy rains had again led to flooding in Makhachkala, where the streets were flooded with water. According to reports, the water level rises after each new rain, which makes it difficult for vehicles and pedestrians.
