A procedural check has been organized in Dagestan after the collapse of an apartment building in Makhachkala. This was reported on April 5 in the investigative department of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation for the region.

"Investigators went to the scene of the incident at the address: Makhachkala, Perova St., 16, where an apartment building collapsed," the department clarified in the Telegram channel.

According to preliminary data, the incident could have been caused by the erosion of the foundation due to flooding. An inspection is currently underway, which establishes all the circumstances of the incident, as well as possible causes and conditions that led to the collapse.

Information about the victims is being clarified. A procedural decision will be made based on the results of the audit, the Investigative Committee said.
