The explosives were found in the immediate vicinity of a pipeline connecting Serbia and Hungary. This was announced on April 5 by the Serbian Ministry of Defense.

Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic informed Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban on the same day that explosives and detonators had been found near the gas pipeline connecting the countries.
