The US mission to rescue the pilot failed. This was announced on April 5 by the official representative of the central headquarters of the Iranian military command "Khatam al-Anbiya" Ebrahim Zolfagari.
"The enemy's efforts to rescue the pilot of the downed plane have failed. In the south of Isfahan, enemy air targets were shot down, including two Black Hawk helicopters and a C-130 military transport aircraft <...> they are now on fire," a senior Iranian military official said in a statement, quoted by the Iranian state television and radio company IRIB.
