In mid-April, snow is expected again in the Nizhny Novgorod region with a high probability, while temporary snow cover may form in some areas. This statement was made on April 5 by Mikhail Lyubov, associate professor of Nizhny Novgorod State University, a phenologist (a specialist studying seasonal natural phenomena).

"Winter, of course, will not return, but the fact that snow will fall in April is very likely. Moreover, a cold snap is expected, a cold cyclone is moving from the North Atlantic to the European part of Russia. We can still see snow," the scientist told RIA Novosti.

According to him, temporary snow cover is possible in the northern regions of the Nizhny Novgorod region, but in most cases, according to the phenologist, snow will fall and melt immediately.

The Hydrometeorological Center reported that cloudy weather with rain is expected in the capital region on April 5. During the day, the air temperature in Moscow will range from +7 to +9 degrees. At night, the thermometer will drop to +2 degrees.
