The fighters of the "South" invented night vision goggles in their area

Russian military personnel continue to show incredible skill and miracles of ingenuity in the special military operation zone. So, the fighters of the anti-aircraft missile battery of the 6th Cossack Brigade of the Southern Group of Forces have invented a new version of night vision goggles that can be assembled in artisanal conditions in a matter of minutes. They told Izvestia about this on April 5.

"We are going to the positions and waiting for the command to work on reconnaissance drones. There are missile overflights, and we have to work on them," said an anti-aircraft gunner with the call sign Zhuk.

Moreover, missiles are shot down using man-portable air defense systems (MANPADS) "Verba" or "Igla". Smaller targets are destroyed with shotguns and machine guns, demonstrating incredible professionalism. But the achievements of the fighters of the "South", of course, do not end there.

"This is a unique technology developed by the fighters of the anti-aircraft missile battery of the 6th Brigade of the Southern Group of Forces. The usual glasses used by operators of FPV drones, a camera from a thermal imager taken from the same drone and soldered here with a sealant. Such a development, which can be assembled in a couple of minutes in artisanal conditions, provides perfect visibility at night and during the day," said Izvestia correspondent Egor Kildibekov.

The commander of the missile platoon with the call sign Kit compared the device created by the fighters with VR glasses. At first, it is difficult for a person to use them, but then they are excellent for combat work.

"At first, we came up with a mount, but because of the constant movement, it was loose. But now we don't need it, we use standard sights. Thanks to these glasses, we can see like in the daytime," concluded Keith.

In addition to the night vision device and thermal imager, the glasses are equipped with an additional battery, thanks to which military personnel can use the assembled device all night.

Izvestia also reported on April 1 how Russian sappers had developed a device for remote mine clearance. The device allows you to accurately lower the explosive charge onto the mine using a servo mounted on the drone. Previously, charges were dropped from a height, the accuracy of the hit depended on weather conditions, time of day and other factors.
