The Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment announced an increase in investments in diamond exploration in Russia

The total investments of businesses and the government in diamond exploration in Russia in 2025 amounted to 6.1 billion rubles, and in 2026 they are projected to increase by about 24% to 7.6 billion rubles. This statement was made on April 5 by the press service of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment.

The ministry reported that in 2025, federal spending on diamond exploration increased by 25% to 355 million rubles, while business investment decreased by 4% to 5.748 billion rubles. As a result, the total investments over the past year reached 6.1 billion rubles.

"In 2026, it is planned to invest 902.9 billion rubles (from the federal budget. — Ed.) <...> the subsoil users plan to invest 6.677 billion rubles," the agency said in a statement to RIA Novosti.
