Thousands of anti-war marches took place in Germany. This was reported by the Welt newspaper on April 4.
"In many cities, people took to the streets <...> for Easter marches. Rallies demanding peace and disarmament were held in Berlin, Munich, Cologne and Leipzig, as well as in other places. <...> The network of Cooperatives of the world was expecting several thousand participants in about 70 locations throughout Germany," the publication says.
It is noted that in Stuttgart, the police counted about 3 thousand protesters, in Berlin — 1 thousand people, in Freiburg — 400, and in Mannheim - about 400-500.
According to the newspaper, at the demonstrations, one could see both a white dove on a blue background — a symbol of peace — and the flags of Iran, Cuba and even Palestine.
