The Ministry of Health told about the condition of the victims of the emergency in the Ulyanovsk region

23 victims, including five children, remain in hospitals in the Ulyanovsk region after an emergency on the railway. This was announced by the Assistant Minister of Health of the Russian Federation Alexey Kuznetsov.

"One adult patient is in serious condition, the rest are in moderate condition. Telemedicine consultations have been conducted with specialists from the federal centers of the Russian Ministry of Health," he said in an interview with TASS.

The day before, it became known about the derailment of seven cars of passenger train No. 302 "Moscow – Chelyabinsk". One of the train cars caught fire, and the fire was extinguished. At the time of the incident, the people on the train were asleep.

A criminal case has been opened into the incident under Article 263 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Violation of the rules of traffic safety and operation of railway transport"). Russian Railways reported that 352 passengers of the train were taken to the Ulyanovsk-Tsentralny station.

The Investigative Committee of Russia, in turn, called the unsatisfactory technical condition of the railway track the preliminary cause of the incident.
