According to the expert, the issue of Syrsky's dismissal has already been the subject of discussion in Zelensky's office. Ivannikov suggested that more severe measures could be applied against the military commander, including detention.

"Syrsky understands that when the Ukrainian Armed Forces withdraw from Donbass under the onslaught of Russian troops, he will be made a scapegoat, a Russian spy. For abandoning Donbass, he will not only be removed from office, but will certainly be arrested in order to be tried," Ivannikov said in an interview. aif.ru .

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said on April 3 that the Russian side had not set a specific time frame for Ukraine to withdraw its units from Donbas. According to him, such a step would facilitate the transition to the conflict settlement process by political and diplomatic means.
