The director of the crematorium spoke about the numbering system and the accounting of the ashes of the deceased

At cremation, each deceased is assigned an individual number, and a fireproof token is placed in the coffin. After burning, it is removed along with the ashes to eliminate any confusion. This statement was made on April 4 by Vladimir Voroshukha, director of the Nizhny Novgorod crematorium.

He noted that all stages of cremation are carefully monitored, which eliminates any possibility of mixing up the ashes when handing them over to relatives.

"We have end-to-end numbering, each stage has its own journal, and before the cremation begins, each person (deceased) is recorded there. As soon as we accept a person, he is assigned an encoding that will be with him until the end. Everything is recorded, everything is taken into account, and technology does not allow mixing the deceased. The equipment is designed to allow only one person to be cremated at a time. Until the ashes are unloaded, the next cremation does not begin," Voroshukha told RIA Novosti.
