Ovechkin exchanged a puck for chips from a 10-year-old cheerleader during training.
The Russian forward of the Washington Capitals hockey club exchanged a puck for a portion of spicy chips from one of the cheerleaders, 10—year-old Cambry, during a training session. This was reported on March 3 by the RMNB portal.
"Ovi will exchange spicy chips for a puck!" read a poster held in the hands of a young cheerleader.
The Russian hockey player saw the cheerleader, accepted the chips and gave her the puck instead. Another sports equipment was given to the girl by another striker of the club, Tom Wilson. After training, the team's athletes took photos with the cheerleader.
The Washington Capitals lost to the New Jersey Devils a day earlier in the National Hockey League (NHL) regular season match. Ovechkin spent 18 minutes on the ice, scored four shots and four power plays with an efficiency of "-3".
