Space Week dedicated to the 65th anniversary of Gagarin's flight will be held in Moscow.

Space Week, dedicated to the 65th anniversary of the first human spaceflight, will be held at VDNKh, cultural institutions in the capital and city parks from April 6 to 12. More than 450 events have been prepared for Muscovites and tourists — screenings of science fiction films, lectures about outstanding scientists, creative workshops and meetings with astronauts. This was announced by Deputy Mayor of Moscow Natalia Sergunina.

"The program has been prepared by more than 260 cultural venues and seven parks. They invite you to meetings with cosmonauts, exhibitions and excursions dedicated to Yuri Gagarin, musical evenings and thematic quizzes," Natalia Sergunina noted.

One of the central events will be the exhibition "The Heart of the first. On the 65th anniversary of the first human spaceflight", which will open on April 9 at the Museum of Cosmonautics. The exhibition was also timed to coincide with the 80th anniversaries of the S.P. Korolev Rocket and Space Corporation Energia and the Central Scientific Research Institute of Mechanical Engineering.

The name of the exhibition is associated with one of the most important artifacts of the museum — the electrocardiogram of Yuri Gagarin, made before the historic flight. The audio installation of the heart rate will complement the atmosphere of the exposition. Visitors will see more than 70 exhibits telling about people who devoted their lives to space exploration. Some of them will be presented for the first time.
Space Cinema Day will be held at the museum on April 8. A marathon of feature films and documentaries will be held in the hall, designed in the form of a spaceship cabin. The guests will be shown the films "Aelita", "Time of the First", "Captain Volynov: the favorite of space" and others.
A Day of space Lessons for young visitors will be held on April 9. During the lessons, children will learn about the development of astronomy — from the scientific disputes of Galileo Galilei and Johannes Kepler about the motion of the planets to modern space missions.

On April 10, the premiere of the film "I am from the Museum of Cosmonautics", based on interviews with the staff of the institution, will take place.
