The United States offered Iran a 48-hour truce, but Tehran rejected the offer without a written response, continuing intense attacks. This was reported on April 3 by the Iranian Fars News agency in its Telegram channel.

According to the agency, the ceasefire proposal, transmitted through one of the friendly countries, followed against the background of the aggravation of the regional crisis. It is noted that the United States has serious problems due to an incorrect assessment of Iran's military potential.

"Iran's response to Washington's proposal was not in writing, but in the field," an informed source told the agency.

The agency also added that the US diplomatic efforts to end the ceasefire have significantly intensified, especially after the strike on the US military depot on Bubian Island in Kuwait.

The ISNA news agency reported on March 31 that Iran had launched new missile and drone strikes against US bases in the UAE, Iraq and Kuwait. In addition, the IRGC attacked a number of targets in Israel, including the meeting places of the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) command.

Military expert Yuri Knutov noted on April 2 that the escalation in the Middle East had led to strikes on American military installations, and the United States was completely unprepared for Iran's powerful strikes on its bases. However, he noted that the data published by the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps about the alleged hundreds of casualties among the personnel is unlikely to be true.
