The United States is evacuating military personnel from military bases in the Middle East due to the devastating Iranian strikes. This was reported on April 3 by National Public Radio.
In particular, a representative of the US Navy confirmed to the agency that 1.5 thousand sailors, their families and several hundred pets were taken from the 5th Fleet service center in Bahrain to the United States.
"They were literally told: "Take everything that fits in the backpack. You need to leave. <...> They left without a uniform, without anything," said deputy commander of the base Keith Sheinsey.
