The Federation Council called Zelensky's idea of a new format of negotiations stupid
The proposal of the President of Ukraine, Vladimir Zelensky, on a scheme for negotiations on Ukraine, involving a visit by American representatives first to Kiev and then to Moscow, is "nonsense" and is aimed at distracting attention and delaying time. This was announced on April 3 by Vladimir Dzhabarov, First Deputy Chairman of the Federation Council Committee on International Affairs.
On the same day, Zelensky invited the American negotiators to come first to Kiev and then to Moscow. He noted that this is an alternative option for a trilateral meeting at the level of technical groups.
"To invent all kinds of formats, all kinds of routes of movement. First of all, the parties to the conflict should negotiate. Our country and Ukraine. If an intermediary is present, that's fine. If it doesn't, it won't be possible to resolve anything without face—to-face contact with the opposing side. This is understandable — there is a delay in time and the entire world community is being fooled, just to delay time," Jabarov said in an interview withГазета.Ru ".
The senator also stressed that Russia will invariably achieve all the goals of the special military operation in Ukraine, and the armed forces of the Kiev regime will eventually leave Donbass.
On April 1, Russian presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov had already linked the pause in negotiations on Ukraine to the US occupation in the Middle East, and a few days earlier, on March 29, Russian presidential aide Yuri Ushakov said that Washington had provided Moscow with several interesting proposals to resolve the Ukrainian issue. According to him, despite the attractiveness of the initiatives, they were considered impossible at that time.
