The Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS) of Russia issued warnings to car market participants after public forecasts by representatives of organizations about a possible increase in car prices. This was reported on the agency's website on April 3.

"A warning has been issued against committing actions that may lead to a violation of the Law on Protection of Competition," the publication says.

It is noted that public forecasts about the expected price increase can be perceived by market participants as a signal to increase them and provoke artificial excitement. The FAS warned that in case of violation of the antimonopoly legislation, the agency will take prompt response measures.

On March 23, the FAS issued a warning to the head of the tour operator FUN&SUN, Vladimir Rubtsov, because of his words about a possible 5-7% increase in the price of air tickets.
