Three rabies quarantine zones have been established in the Krasnoyarsk Territory.

In the Krasnoyarsk Territory, rabies quarantine was introduced in two municipalities. Veterinarians identified three danger zones at once.

So, in the area of the Sibiryak state farm in the Yemelyanovsky district, a fox with signs of rabies was found. The radius of the quarantine zone was set at 2.4 km.

Two more quarantine zones with a radius of 1.3 km and 1.5 km were identified in Norilsk. Dangerous areas are located on Nadezhdinskaya, 1a and Laureatova, 67 streets.

According to the KrasnoyarskMedia news agency, during the quarantine period, the treatment of sick animals is prohibited, as well as the import and export of animals not vaccinated against rabies.

Earlier, Izvestia wrote that the N.F. Gamaleya Center announced its readiness to develop a modern and affordable vaccine against animal rabies. It is assumed that it will be able to replace an outdated domestic drug that requires increased safety measures.
