The US operation to rescue the pilot of the downed F-35 failed. This was reported on April 3 by the Iranian Tasnim news agency, citing a source.

According to the agency, Black Hawk helicopters and a C-130 Hercules military transport aircraft were involved in the search mission. However, the operation was still unsuccessful. No other details of the operation are provided.
