The treatment of public spaces from ticks in Ulan-Ude starts on Monday, April 6. Disinsection will begin from Bogorodsky Island, the press service of the Committee of Urban Economy reports.

There are plans to destroy dangerous insects at 76 sites. During the acaricide works, public areas will be fenced with a signal tape, writes IA UlanMedia.

Thus, 24 territories will be processed in the Sovetsky district, 31 in Oktyabrsky, and 21 more in Zheleznodorozhny. The mining committee will publish an up-to-date schedule of work especially for residents.

Earlier it was reported that ticks of the Hyalomma genus appeared on the territory of Russia, which are distinguished by their large size and durable shell. They're about three times the size of regular ones, so they're easier to spot on clothing.
