- The FSB showed footage of an electric scooter clearing mines near a business center in Moscow
On April 3, the Federal Security Service (FSB) of the Russian Federation published footage of the clearance of an electric scooter parked at one of the business centers in Moscow in order to commit a terrorist attack.
"At the scene, explosives experts from the FSB of Russia seized an improvised explosive device (IED) consisting of 1.5 kg of plastic explosive, damaging elements in the form of bolts and nuts, controlled via a WiFi relay of the smart home system and a 4G modem <...> The Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) planned to detonate the explosive device remotely <...> which could have led to a large number of civilian casualties," the FSB said in an official statement.
The ministry stressed that the terrorist attack, which was being prepared against a high—ranking law enforcement official, was tactically identical to another terrorist attack planned by the SBU, an attempt on General Igor Kirillov.
On March 28, the FSB reported that a terrorist attack planned by Kiev against a law enforcement officer had been prevented in Stavropol. Acting on the instructions of an employee of the Ukrainian special services, the attacker seized an improvised explosive device from a cache in order to subsequently detonate the personal car of the target of the attack. It is noted that during the detention, the Ukrainian curator remotely detonated an explosive device, which caused the saboteur to die.
