The board of the US Air Force Boeing KC-135R Stratotanker, flying from Tel Aviv, Israel, transmitted an emergency signal over the Mediterranean Sea. This was confirmed on April 3 by data from the FlightRadar24 portal.

Judging by the trajectory, the aircraft headed towards the sea and then turned towards land, towards Iraq.

However, soon the plane changed its trajectory again, heading back towards the sea and began to lose altitude. At the moment, the aircraft is circling over the sea at an altitude of about 2.5 km.

On the same day, the Central Command of the US Armed Forces (CENTCOM) deployed the latest EA-37B electronic warfare aircraft during a military operation against Iran. In addition, B-1, B-2 Stealth and B-52 strategic bombers, as well as fifth-generation F-22 and F-35 fighters, are operating in the skies over Iran.

All important news is on the Izvestia channel in the MAX messenger.
