A criminal case was opened into the death of a child as a result of a fire in a private house in the Stupino city district. This was reported in the press service of the Main Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of Russia in the Moscow region.
At the time of the fire, a mother and a one-year-old child were in a private house in the village of Zhilevo.
"As a result of the incident, the child died, his mother managed to escape. An investigator of the territorial investigation department of the GSU of the Investigative Committee of Russia for the Moscow Region has opened a criminal case on this fact (Part 1 of Article 109 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation)," the Moscow City News Agency quotes the message.
According to preliminary information, the cause of the fire could be an emergency power grid. Investigators and criminologists from the Moscow Investigative Committee conducted an inspection of the scene, interrogations are underway, and it is planned to appoint forensic examinations.
