A court in Khabarovsk sentenced a local resident to 16 years in a high-security penal colony for passing information about one of the city's facilities to the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU). This was announced on April 3 by the prosecutor's office of the Khabarovsk Territory.

"The Khabarovsk Regional Court has issued a guilty verdict against a local resident for committing a crime under Article 275 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("High Treason")," the department said.

The prosecutor's office clarified that the 51-year-old man was also fined 400 thousand rubles, and the court also sentenced the perpetrator to 16 years in prison to serve his sentence in a high-security penal colony, with a fine of 400 thousand rubles and restriction of liberty for 1 year and 6 months.

On April 1, the FSB Central Control Center reported that three Kiev agents had been convicted of attempting a terrorist attack against officers of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, a member of the government of the Luhansk People's Republic (LNR), and preparing sabotage at military-industrial complex (MIC) facilities and on railway tracks.

According to the FSB of the Russian Federation, the defendants themselves contacted a representative of the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) via the Telegram messenger. They expressed their willingness to participate in terrorist attacks for a monetary reward and subsequent receipt of political asylum on Ukrainian territory or in the countries of the European Union (EU).
