A gesture expert analyzed the tone of Trump's speech on Iran
The manner and tone of American leader Donald Trump's speech during his address to the nation on the operation against Iran may indicate the desire of the head of the White House to stabilize public sentiment, while preserving space for strategic decisions. This statement was made on March 3 by American sign language expert Tracey Brown.
Brown pointed to the ambivalence in Trump's behavior.
"On the one hand, he has a restrained and measured tone, which creates a sense of control and avoids unnecessary escalation," RIA Novosti quoted the expert as saying.
At the same time, as she noted, such restraint allows for different interpretations and suggests that some of the information is not voiced directly.
"This combination is often used by leaders when they need to stabilize public perception while maintaining strategic flexibility behind the scenes," Brown concluded.
On April 1, Trump announced in an address to the nation that he would step up attacks on Iran in the next two to three weeks. According to him, during these weeks it is planned to fulfill all the military tasks that the United States sets for itself.
