Specialists of the municipal economy complex have begun deconservation and flushing of fountains on Pushkin Square and Novopushkinsky Square in Moscow. This was announced on Thursday, April 2, by the Deputy Mayor of the capital for Housing and Communal Services and landscaping, Peter Biryukov.

According to him, on April 2, work began on preparations for the launch of the Pushkin Fountain and the fountain in Novopushkinsky Square. He specified that they are performed by a three-person team using high-pressure devices and irrigation equipment.

Biryukov recalled that the Pushkin Fountain is made in the classical style and is a granite pool with three cast-iron bowls, while the fountain in the park has the shape of an ellipse, where the jets of water converge in a ring in the center. Both facilities are equipped with lighting, according to the Moscow City News Agency.

He also noted that specialists will clean the structures with special brushes, then thoroughly rinse the bowls, parapets and external utilities using detergents. Before the launch, it is planned to check all the elements in the underground reservoirs, including hydraulics, pumping equipment and jet-forming systems.

According to the deputy mayor, fountains are currently being deconservated in the capital, and the new season of their work will traditionally begin at the end of April, writes Moscow 24.
