The media reported on large-scale exercises of the US military in conditions of heavy losses

The US military is conducting exercises in underground tunnels in Texas, during which field hospitals are being deployed and significant personnel losses are being simulated. This was reported on April 2 by the Fox News channel.

"In the period from March 23 to April 1 <...> combat medics, ophthalmologists <...> and other medical personnel simulated the mass death of people in combat conditions in underground tunnels," the publication says.

It is specified that the exercises are taking place at the Ford Hood base in Texas, and about 300 military personnel and hired actors portraying the wounded are taking part in them. Evacuation of the wounded to underground field hospitals is being practiced. In particular, conditional victims are transferred from helicopters to medical vehicles, and then lowered into tunnels to provide medical care.

Russian Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Alexander Maryasov said on April 2 that the United States continues to increase its military presence near Iran, but a direct attack on the country is fraught with serious consequences. According to Maryasov, the United States continues to bring additional military forces to Iran, including ships with military amphibious assault units. This, according to the Ambassador, gives reason to believe that the option of an air or naval attack has not yet been definitively rejected.

On April 1, US President Donald Trump announced in an address to the nation that he would step up attacks on Iran in the next two to three weeks. According to him, during these weeks it is planned to fulfill all the military tasks that the United States sets for itself.
