Lada car sales in March were higher than expected

AvtoVAZ sold more than 27.7 thousand Lada cars by the end of March 2026. This result turned out to be slightly higher than the projected 27 thousand units, said Maxim Sokolov, the head of the company, TASS reported on April 2.

Sokolov clarified that, taking into account sales of Xcite cars, the volume of cars sold in Lada dealerships may even be slightly higher. AVTOVAZ's share in the country's primary car market, according to the company, has surpassed the 25% target. The domestic manufacturer is satisfied with the results of March, Sokolov shared.

The head of AVTOVAZ also said that the company is not considering the possibility of switching to a shorter working week. Earlier, the possible introduction of a four-day period from June 1 was allowed at KAMAZ.

At the same time, as Sokolov noted, the Togliatti auto giant does not exclude adjustments to the production plan for the year, both upward and downward, depending on market dynamics.
