- The MAYOR congratulated the Defenders of the Fatherland State Foundation on its third anniversary
2 million 660 thousand requests for assistance over 3 years were received by the Defenders of the Fatherland State Fund. Anna Tsivileva, State Secretary, Deputy Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation, Chairman of the Foundation, spoke about initiatives to improve the integrated system of support and rehabilitation of veterans of a special military operation, and about the best regional practices.
"Over the past 3 years, the Defenders of the Fatherland Foundation has done a great job, thanks to which a fundamentally new system of social support for combat veterans has been created in the country. This system is based on an individual approach to each hero, personal support for each family, which is provided by 4,500 social coordinators of the foundation throughout the country. Thanks to the close cooperation of responsible ministries and departments, organizations and institutions, the work of regional teams and thousands of caring citizens, assistance to veterans is becoming even more accessible," said Anna Tsivileva.
Exactly 3 years ago, on April 3, 2023, Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a decree on the establishment of the Defenders of the Fatherland Special Military Operation (SVO) support fund. And since June 1, its branches have been operating in all 89 regions of the country.
With the assistance of the foundation, 235,000 veterans and their loved ones received medical care, 22.5 thousand underwent sanatorium treatment, and 27 thousand were sent for medical rehabilitation. The foundation employs 250 medical psychologists in its branches, and the foundation employs 400 educational psychologists to work with families and children.
Employment of veterans of the SVO is another important area of the foundation's work. 8.8 thousand SVO veterans and their family members were assisted in training and advanced training.
"From the very first days of the foundation's existence, our media holding has been supporting its work and talking about the opportunities it provides to veterans and their families. We are proud of the opportunity to systematically support FZO projects in the media and in the street media.
Our joint project "Heroes of Freedom in Business" has caused the greatest resonance — the successful stories of veterans who were able to find themselves, despite their injuries and disabilities, are an example and motivation for others. Congratulations to all employees of the foundation — strength, patience, your work is significant for millions of people!" said Konstantin Mayor, owner and CEO of the MAER media holding.
Today, 700 veterans of the special operation have joined the national teams of the subjects of the Russian Federation, and 70 heroes represent the national teams of Russia at the international level. And about 3 thousand people are systematically engaged in various sports.
