The first tanker carrying liquefied natural gas (LNG) since the beginning of US operations in the Middle East has entered the waters of the Strait of Hormuz and is moving towards the export terminal in Oman. This was reported on April 2 by the Bloomberg news agency with reference to ship tracking data.

"A tanker carrying liquefied natural gas entered the Strait of Hormuz. The Sohar LNG tanker, which apparently does not contain cargo, is heading east after changing course to the LNG export terminal in the city of Kalhat in Oman," the publication says.
