Russia needs to attack the decision-making centers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in response to Kiev's attempts to destabilize the Russian Federation's energy infrastructure. This was announced on April 2 by the first deputy chairman of the Federation Council Committee on International Affairs, Vladimir Jabarov.

The senator noted that Russian oil refineries are becoming the targets of attacks by Ukrainian militants. He stressed that Kiev is striving to inflict maximum economic damage against the backdrop of the growing global oil crisis.

"I think there can only be one answer to intentionally hitting places where a fire is possible. Maybe not symmetrical, but such that it would be very sensitive for Ukraine," the parliamentarian emphasized in an interview with Lenta.Ru .

Jabarov also added that the Kiev regime does not demonstrate readiness for peace talks. According to his assessment, Ukraine expects to prolong the conflict for at least two more years, using Western financing and arms supplies to try to defeat Russia. The legislator summarized that the protection of facilities in the country is a "common cause," adding that all necessary measures are already being taken in the regions to ensure security.

Earlier in the day, the head of the Republic of Bashkortostan, Radiy Khabirov, reported on attempts to attack unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) at an oil refinery in Ufa. As a result, a fire started on the territory of one of the enterprises.
