Iranian air defense systems shot down two US MQ-9 unmanned aerial vehicles over the southern part of the republic, which were heading for the city of Shiraz. This was announced on April 2 by the press service of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC).

"A few hours ago, two MQ-9 drones of the hostile aggressors of the United States and Israel were intercepted and successfully hit by the army's air defense systems in Shiraz," the Telegram channel said.

It is specified that since the beginning of the Israeli-American military operation, Iran's air defense has destroyed 154 drones over its country.

On the same day, the Central Command of the US Armed Forces (CENTCOM) announced the transfer to Iran of its newest aircraft specializing in electronic warfare (EW). It was about an aircraft model EA-37B. It was noted that in addition, B-1, B-2 Stealth and B-52 strategic bombers, as well as fifth-generation F-22 and F-35 fighters, are operating in the skies over the Islamic Republic.
