Creative industry enterprises in Moscow are showing active growth with the support of the Moscow authorities. This was announced by the mayor of the city, Sergei Sobyanin, in his channel in the MAX messenger.

The head of the capital said that more than 113,000 Moscow organizations and individual entrepreneurs work in the creative industries. "In recent years, with the support of the city, enterprises in this field have been developing more actively," Sobyanin wrote.

In particular, the first stage of Skolkovo's new Creative cluster, the Moscow Cluster of Video Games and Animation, was opened last year. 44 video game companies and eight animation companies became its residents, the mayor recalled. The second stage is scheduled to be completed in 2026, with infrastructure for media technology developers and offices for startups.

Sobyanin also noted that the first Moscow International Video Game Week was an important event, bringing together leading video game and IT companies, industry experts and video game enthusiasts at 800 venues in Russia. A national record was set at the event — over 4,600 people took part in the cyber tournament of the week, the head of Moscow said.

In addition, the Moscow Workshops urban art center for artists was opened in 2025. The authorities also organized "Creative business workshops" for entrepreneurs in the field of fashion and design and free webinars "Protect your creativity," the mayor added.
