New GAC Aion V crossover goes on sale in Russia

Sales of the new GAC Aion V electric crossover have started in Russia. The model is offered in two trim levels at a price of 4.3 million and 4.6 million rubles, respectively, according to the press service of the Chinese brand, which was received by Izvestia on April 2.

The GAC Aion V has an electric motor in the front with a capacity of 204 hp (210 Nm), acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h takes 7.9 seconds. The transport tax on the model is calculated for the maximum 30-minute power of the electric motor (45 kW; 61 hp), the company noted. The length of the GAC Aion V is 4605 mm with a wheelbase of 2775 mm. The trunk volume is 427 liters. The capacity of the lithium-iron-phosphate battery is 75.26 kWh. It provides a power reserve on a single charge of 580 km (according to the NEDC cycle). In fast charging mode, the charge can be replenished from 10 to 80% in 24 minutes, and from 30 to 80% in 16 minutes.

In the basic EX version, the crossover received 19-inch wheels, integrated door handles, diode optics, an all-round viewing system and parking sensors, a heated windshield, a panoramic roof with an electric sun shade, a fifth door with an electric drive and a height memory function. By default, the model also has a media system with a central 14.6-inch screen and an 8.9-inch dashboard, front seats with electric drive, position memory, heating and ventilation (the second row seats also have heating), dual-zone climate control, wireless smartphone charging and atmospheric interior lighting. The media system supports Apple CarPlay and Android Auto wireless interfaces and has pre-installed Yandex and VK apps.

The top-end version of the EX Premium is distinguished, for example, by the presence of a massage function at the front seats, a folding table in the back of the front passenger seat, a built-in refrigerator with a volume of 6.6 liters, supporting cooling, freezing and heating modes in the range from -15 to +50 ° C.

In addition, in all trim levels, the list of driver assistants and safety systems includes adaptive cruise control, lane departure and lane-keeping warning systems, blind spot monitoring, and others. Seven airbags are provided. The GAC Aion V is presented on the Russian market with a palette of seven body colors, including a two-color version, and with three interior options.
