Funding for a program to provide children with milk will be reduced in the Arctic

In the Murmansk region, changes will be made to the amount of funding for the state program "Education and Science". The draft resolution appeared on the Open Electronic Region portal.

The funds provided for the regional Ministry of Education and Science will be reduced by 8.7 million rubles. The reason is the lack of demand for them, explains the Bi-port news agency.

Thus, the financing of activities to provide free milk to children of preschool and primary school age will decrease by 2.8 million rubles. The support of municipalities for organizing children's recreation will be reduced by 5.9 million rubles.

The money saved will be returned to the reserve fund.

At the end of March, it was reported that a new payment would be introduced in the Murmansk region for families with children. Russian citizens who permanently reside in the country can count on it. Working parents with two or more children under the age of 18 or under the age of 23, if the children study full-time, apply for social assistance. Parents must officially work and pay personal income tax. At the same time, the average per capita income of a family should not exceed 1.5 minimum subsistence level per capita in the region.
