Part of the ring road in St. Petersburg will be closed until September

In St. Petersburg, from April 8, traffic on the outer ring of the ring Road will be completely blocked. It will be impossible to drive along the section between the intersection with the ZSD and the intersection with the Primorsky Highway. The restrictions apply until September 1.

The reason is the reconstruction of the northern section of the A-118 federal highway.

The press service of the FKU Updor "North-West" noted that for drivers they organize a bypass of traffic to the inner ring of the ring road. It will be carried out on one lane in each direction.

The roadway will be expanded to six lanes for the duration of the work on the 11 km long section. Temporary road signs, barriers, cones and directional arrows will be installed in the near future, and an alarm system will be equipped. Earlier it was reported that in the period from 2027 to 2030, the implementation of the KAD-2 construction project may begin. The route will be directly connected to the M-11 highway and the Latitudinal Highway. The new highway will give an impetus to the development of territories within the agglomeration, new industrial parks and logistics centers will appear. KAD-2 will further link St. Petersburg and the Leningrad Region into a single economic space.
