Artem Brovkov, the leader and founder of the St. Petersburg rap group KREC (recognized in the Russian Federation as a foreign agent), known under the pseudonym Fuze, has died at the age of 46. The death of the musician was announced on April 2 by his wife Valentina Berezkina.

According to the performer's wife, the cause of death was injuries sustained as a result of a traffic accident.

"It's very hard for me to write this, but Artyom is no more. A few hours ago, he had a terrible accident, the doctors did everything they could, but they couldn't save him," Berezkina wrote on her Instagram page (belongs to the Meta organization, recognized as extremist and banned in the Russian Federation).

She also appealed to fans of the musician's work and relatives with a request to preserve the memory of the artist.

"I ask you to remember and respect everything he did for the world in every sense of the word. I love him very much and I don't know any other such kind and honest people," the musician's widow added.

Artyom Brovkov was a permanent member and the main ideologist of the Krec collective, created in St. Petersburg in 2001. Over the years of the project's existence, Fuze has released more than 10 studio albums.
