Participants of the International Film Market discussed new NMG projects
Which movie we will watch in the coming year is being decided in Moscow. Participants of the International Film Market choose projects that are profitable for business and interesting to the audience. This was announced on April 1 by Izvestia film critic Nikolai Nikulin.
"Careful! The Abyss" — an original poster with Mark Eidelstein welcomes the guests of the international film market. Visitors are also greeted by banners of the new comedy "Grandfather Fomich" and the animated film "Leo and Tig. The road to Lake Baikal". In the corridors, they discuss which projects are worth looking at and waiting for them at the box office, and which ones were announced for the first time.
"We go into the hall. There is a presentation of new projects from the National Media Group," Nikulin said.
There is tremendous interest among the audience. Mark Edelstein was shown on the screen. In the frame there are three heroes who are suspended over a mountain precipice. All because of the plane crash, and all in order to sort things out with each other in such extreme circumstances.
"We know Mark very well, I would like to say "discovered" to some extent, Stepa in many ways too, because he is one of the main characters of the film "Ice-3", and Tina starred in the main role in the TV series "Moscow does not believe in tears." Reliable, bright, talented and beautiful artists have been tested," said the producers of the film "The Abyss" Alexander Andryushchenko and Mikhail Vrubel.
"Exciting action—packed films are something that NMG Film Distribution can always boast of. Here are the most anticipated novelties," the film critic noted.
The military action film "The Alpine Ballad" based on the novel by veteran writer Vasil Bykov with Ivan Yankovsky in the role of a brave Soviet soldier who escaped from a German concentration camp. Filming of the landmark historical project is coming to an end. A huge part of the scenes were shot in Serbia, and this is the first film made under the signed agreement between Russia and Serbia on cooperation in the field of cinematography.
"We believe that this film will become a manifesto of the anti-fascist movement, uniting all people who are fighting fascism today, because, unfortunately, fascism is rearing its head in the world today, and we really hope that all reasonable people in the world will unite, including around this film, in the fight against fascism.", — said Svetlana Balanova, CEO of the National Media Group.
"We shot in the mountains, sometimes snow, sometimes rain, sometimes fog, so the group was professional, great craftsmen, all the workshops should be thanked and the Serbian side, who did it all at the highest level," said actor Ivan Yankovsky.
Another action—packed blockbuster is "Black Silk", the sequel to the adventure detective story "Red Silk".
"Let me remind you that the action in Red Silk took place on a train, now it will be a giant airship and the interior of a Japanese ship. Your favorite actors will also return: Milos Bikovic, Maxim Matveev and Gleb Kalyuzhny," Nikulin said.
"Yesterday we got permission to shoot in China. This can be considered news," said producer Vadim Byrkin.
There are many cartoons and fairy tales: "Cinderella" and "The Adventure of the Baby Mammoth", "Miracle Yudo" and "Varvara Krasa" and, of course, the film "Hottabych" starring Fyodor Bondarchuk, which will be released on January 1, 2027.
Andrey Volgin, the director of the Red Silk film, told Izvestia on March 19 that the film crew had begun work on the sequel to the Russian-Chinese film Red Silk, a new project called Black Silk. It was noted that filming takes place both in Russia and in China. Complex technical solutions are used for some scenes, including large-scale decorations and special pavilions.
All important news is on the Izvestia channel in the MAX messenger.
