The construction of the first section of the Rublyovo-Arkhangelskaya metro line with three stations is entering its final stage. This was announced on Wednesday, April 1, by Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin during an inspection of the Narodnoe Opolchenie station.

According to him, all three stations are in a high state of readiness, and they are planned to be launched this year. Now the main works are being completed at the facilities and finishing begins with the installation of engineering systems, RT notes.

The mayor stressed that the Zvenigorodskaya, Narodnoe Opolchenie and General Karbyshev Boulevard stations should open simultaneously, and a new section about 9 km long will improve transport accessibility for about 550 thousand people. He also instructed the contractor to complete the work on time.

In turn, a representative of Ingeokom said that the decoration of the Narodnoe Opolchenie station was completed by 94%, engineering work was half completed, and preparations for launch would begin in the near future, the Moscow City News agency reported.

The Rublyovo-Arkhangelskaya line with a total length of 27.6 km will connect Moscow City with Rublyovo-Arkhangelsky and will be extended to Krasnogorsk in the future, Moscow 24 writes. The opening of the first section is scheduled for 2026, and further development of the line is scheduled for 2027, the website reports. kp.ru .
