The oncologist named the conditions for the use of the cancer vaccine

Oncologist Evgeny Cheryomushkin told at what stages of cancer a domestic cancer vaccine can be used.

In conversation with aif.ru On Wednesday, April 1, he noted that in the future the drug will be available for free under compulsory medical insurance, while the vaccine will be developed individually for each tumor.

The doctor explained that such vaccines are more often used in the early stages of the disease, but there are limitations: experimental methods cannot be used until standard treatment options are exhausted, so they are first tested on patients with stage four. At the same time, if we consider the vaccine as an independent method of therapy, the best effect is achieved with earlier use.

Cheryomushkin added that if successful, the vaccine is planned to be used at the first sign of metastasis.
