Putin urged to allow Russia-oriented political forces to participate in the elections in Armenia

Russia would like to see Russian-oriented political forces in the elections in Armenia, but the choice remains with Yerevan. This was stated on April 1 by Russian Leader Vladimir Putin during talks with Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan.

"There are many political forces [in Armenia] that are pro-Russian. Of course, I will tell you quite frankly, we have such a dialogue with you that we always speak honestly and directly, we would very much like all these political parties and politicians to be able to participate in this domestic political work during the elections," Putin said.
