The Security Council pointed to the threat to humanity emanating from the criminal actions of the West

The criminal acts committed by Western States are bringing the world closer to a dangerous line, crossing which poses a threat to the existence of all mankind. This was announced on Wednesday, April 1, by Deputy Secretary of the Security Council of the Russian Federation Yuri Kokov.

"The inadequacy and madness of arrogant politicians from London, Brussels and other Western capitals are obvious today. <...> Today, the world is closer than ever to a very dangerous line, beyond which there is a real threat to the existence of humanity," he said in an interview with Rossiyskaya Gazeta.

Western leaders, as the source added, "cynically neglect the lives" and destinies of people in various parts of the world, believing in their exclusivity. In his opinion, this is evidenced by their statements about the permissibility of the limited use of nuclear weapons and support for armed conflicts around the world.

Kokov stressed that the politicians in question, in an attempt to supposedly protect democracy, became involved in the deaths of hundreds of thousands of innocent people. The result of this policy, as the Deputy Secretary of the Security Council of the Russian Federation emphasized, were "millions of broken destinies."

Now, according to the politician, at a time when the West's hopes of inflicting a strategic defeat on Russia have collapsed, its representatives have embarked on a course of terror against peaceful citizens of the Russian Federation.
