Hyundai held the premiere of the new Boulder SUV at the New York Auto Show. The model debuted in the status of a concept car, the production version is planned to be released by 2030, Car and Driver reports on April 1.

Hyundai Boulder has a frame structure, angular exterior design and counter-opening rear doors. The model is equipped with 37-inch all-terrain tires and a full-size spare wheel on the tailgate. According to the company, the luggage door swings open from either side and has a sliding window.

The futuristic interior of the Hyundai Boulder features a massive transmission control lever on the central tunnel, four small screens with widgets instead of the already familiar large multimedia system display, unusual switches in the center, as well as a full—width projection display on the windshield.

It is assumed that the Hyundai Boulder is aimed at competing with SUVs with a "brutal" exterior style such as the Ford Bronco and Jeep Wrangler.

The day before, Jaguar Land Rover and Chery presented the concept of the first model of the new Freelander brand in China. Six production models are planned to be produced under the Freelander brand over the next five years.
