The health of Iran's supreme leader Ayatollah Mojtaba Khamenei is fine, and he may appear in public soon. This was announced on April 1 by the official representative of the Iranian Foreign Ministry, Esmail Bagai.

"As for his health, yes, there are many things that can be said about him, but I assure you that everything is fine with him. I think it's not surprising that in wartime conditions it may take some time before he appears in public, but I assure you that the state, governance and defense are managed very efficiently and efficiently," Bagai said in an interview with the Egyptian newspaper Al—Masry al-Youm.

The Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman added that the appointment of a new ayatollah just a few days after the assassination of the previous supreme leader was "significant in itself." Bagai added that the vertical of power of the Islamic Republic is stable enough not to depend on specific people.

Russian Ambassador to Tehran Alexei Dedov said on March 31 that Iran's supreme leader Mojtaba Khamenei is currently in the Islamic Republic, but refrains from appearing at public events. Dedov also noted that at the moment he had no personal contacts with the new supreme leader of Iran. Nevertheless, the ambassador stressed that Russian President Vladimir Putin was among the first to send congratulations to Mojtaba Khamenei.

The Council of Experts appointed Mojtaba Khamenei as the new supreme leader of Iran on March 8. He was elected to this position by a unanimous decision of the council and became the third supreme leader of the Islamic Republic of Iran. On March 5, US President Donald Trump announced that the United States does not want Iran to be led by a leader like the murdered Ali Khamenei.
